The problem

When you’re on the job, customers don’t wait.

An enquiry lands at the wrong moment, the reply comes late, the details get scattered and the job goes to the first tradie who answers. It’s not a lack of care – it’s a lack of time.

01

Missed calls & messages

An enquiry comes in mid-job, on the road or on a site visit. Nobody picks up.

Handling missed calls (FR)
02

Slow replies

The customer wants a clear answer, right away. While they wait, they’ll often ring a few other tradies.

03

Scattered information

Texts, emails, notes and spreadsheets – keeping track of where each conversation stands quickly becomes impossible.

04

Forgotten follow-ups

A quote with no follow-up can sit unanswered, even when the customer still wants the job done.

A typical scenario

A missed call can still turn into a job – as long as you reply within minutes.

10:12

A customer calls

A burst pipe needs an urgent call-out.

10:12

The call is missed

You’re on another job with both hands full.

10:18

The wait drags on

The customer waits and starts ringing other tradies.

Later

Key details are missing

All you have is a number – the job, the suburb and the urgency are anyone’s guess.

The problem isn’t the enquiry.
It’s replying while you’re on the tools.

Watch

30 seconds on a job site.

The call is missed: Flowtask replies by text, qualifies the enquiry and offers a time slot. You get a complete enquiry without picking up.

Case study

What Flowtask sets up for a plumber.

How one enquiry unfolds, from the missed call to the review request. No customer is quoted: Flowtask is starting out, and real feedback will be published here once it exists.

The context

A sole trader plumber, out on jobs all day. Calls come in while he’s working and go to voicemail. By the time he rings back in the evening, some customers have already booked another tradie.

What Flowtask sets up

Every missed call triggers an automatic text that replies, asks the right questions and offers a time. The quote is followed up on day 1, day 3 and day 7, then a Google review request goes out after the job.

Step by step

10:12, the call goes unanswered. The customer gets a text that replies for you, asking for their town, the nature of the fault and how urgent it is. Their record is created from the answers, a slot is offered, and the tradesperson receives a summary. The quote then enters the follow-up sequence.

  • Hands-on help from real people
Who is behind Flowtask

You are dealing with a person, not a support desk.

Flowtask is me: Baptiste Hiret. I design the system, set it up for your business and look after it afterwards. There is no rota and no file passed from hand to hand: I answer, not a ticket.

I built Flowtask for a simple reason: in a business of one to five people, enquiries always land at the wrong moment, on site, at the wheel or at a customer's home. That is not carelessness, it is that nobody can be in two places at once. Flowtask answers in the meantime, in your words, then hands the conversation back to you.

What that means: I take on few clients at a time, I say no when a request falls outside what the system can do, and I do not claim results I cannot yet show. The first customer feedback will be published here once it exists.

What the other ways of not missing an enquiry cost

  • A human answering service €80 to €400 / month Someone picks up for you, during business hours only.
  • A full-time employed assistant at least €34,000 / year Estimate published by an answering service (Optilib); holidays and cover come on top.
  • Flowtask €249 excl. VAT / month Around the clock, at a fixed cost whatever the number of enquiries.

Frequently asked

What tradies ask us most often.

No. Messages are written in your tone and your wording. The customer gets a clear, professional reply, and as soon as a conversation needs your judgement, Flowtask hands it back to you. The goal is to sound like you, only faster.
Flowtask doesn’t replace your tools – it works around them. It handles the first reply, the qualifying questions, the booking and the follow-ups, so nothing is lost between the first enquiry and the job.
No – we set everything up. You tell us how you work, we configure the replies, rules and follow-ups, then we test it together before launch. There’s no software for you to learn.
Always. You approve every rule before launch and can step in at any time. You decide when Flowtask acts on its own and when it hands the conversation back to you.
Trust is part of the service. We apply minimal data collection, GDPR-compliant, with consent and an opt-out. Your data and your customers' data stay yours.
Because all our clients use the same features. Rather than splitting the service into tiers and making you compare tables, we offer one thing: the setup, then the subscription. You know what you're paying from the start.
The initial commitment is three months — the time it takes for the system to be installed, adjusted and genuinely useful. After that, the subscription can be cancelled each month, with 30 days' notice.
No. The text only goes to someone who has just called you, and it answers their enquiry without promoting anything. The law strictly regulates messages meant to promote goods or services, and the French data protection authority distinguishes those marketing messages from messages that serve an exchange already under way. Every text says who you are, and replying STOP ends it.
A voice bot has to understand your customer first time, through background noise and accents, while they are on the line. Flowtask does not pick up: it writes. The customer reads and replies when they can, everything stays in writing, and you get a complete enquiry rather than a call summary.
About two hours in total: one conversation to describe how you work, then signing off the messages and rules before launch. After that the system runs on its own, and there is no software for you to learn.
You tell us by email. The initial commitment is three months, after which the subscription can be cancelled monthly with 30 days' notice. There is no twelve-month renewal.
Because those tools are self-service: you pay for the software, then spend your evenings writing the messages, setting up the scenarios and fixing what does not send. Here the setup, the testing and the follow-up are done for you, and someone answers when something goes wrong.
